Have you ever wondered what you can do with an old bottle of dish soap? What about all the jam jars we collect? This week look and re-look at materials and pieces that have an intended purpose. Next, change focus and realign this purpose with art and diverse utility as your mission. The most unusual objects can become artful just by shifting your perspective. Who knows, you might enjoy using anything from scrap boxes or string and bottle caps along with old buttons to create a kinetic piece of art. The materials are all around us, we just need to look beyond the usual; art appears in the most unique and unfamiliar ways.
